Designed for the modern world, this state of the art home features contemporary styling with mixes of cool grey, taupe, stainless steel and white with a mixture of metal, glass and cool wood tones. We really tried to make the design feel as luxurious as possible with minimal fuss and little distractions. The home is best described as transitional and eclectic mixing traditional elements with modern ones. We used products like glass field tile and mosaics, random – low pile patterned carpet, gray wood-toned LVP and solid quartz countertops.
The kitchen is the heart of the home and this one certainly is a home run. The focal point of this culinary playground is the range backsplash wall that soars to the ceiling. Installed in a stacked pattern, this gorgeous 3×12 glass tile from the Cristallo collection through Olympia Tile & Stone reflects light and gives an opulence to the space. We chose the color, Special Gray in a glossy finish. Click here to see the full range of colors. Quartz countertops circle the perimeter of the kitchen and provide a clean surface area for prep. Dressed with dark espresso cabinets, stainless steel hardware and contemporary light fixtures.
Throughout the main floor a stylish Luxury Vinyl Plank lies over radiant heated floors. We chose Harwhich 6″ planks by Shaw in color, Raven to achieve a contemporary look that keeps the warm charm of natural wood. Bright colors pop over the gray tones in the wood and deliver a crisp, refreshing design that is current, vivid and exciting.
The master bathroom showcases a feature wall of glass mosaics beneath a floating mirror. This dramatic look was attained through Olympia Tile & Stone’s Cristallo glass 1/2×2 stacked glossy mosaic in color, Light Grey. These come in full square foot sheets and are extremely stylish and offer a designer look for less than most glass mosaics.
The master bathroom shower is elegantly tiled in large format 8×20 Colour & Dimensions field tile in color, Arctic White by Olympia Tile & Stone. Cristallo 1/2×2 glass mosaic continues to make a splash as it is seen in the shower’s decorative surround in color, Light Grey. For the custom mud pan we decided to keep things solid and simple using Dal Tile‘s Keystones 2×2 mosaic in Uptown Taupe. Trimmed with bullnose and grouted with Custom’s Sanded Polyblend grout in Oyster Gray #386 this shower is contemporary, stylish and allows you to play with other colors freely.
You usually don’t think of the laundry or utility rooms to be an exciting place to be. Catching up on laundry has never been so fun with this spacious utility room. Flanked by custom gray contemporary cabinets is a deep industrial sink harmoniously paired with a large wall of tile backsplash. Colour & Dimensions came in a 3×6 subway tile and was the obvious choice in functionality and style. Arctic White tile with Oyster Gray Polyblend grout.
The laundry room floor was chosen from our Emser Tile supplier. This floor looks gorgeous with this stagger pattern installation! Baja 13×13 in color, Tecate with Oyster Gray Polyblend grout, #386.
To soften things up, the master bedroom received a contemporary, low pile patterned carpet in a cool gray color. We used Shaw’s Original Series called, Speed Zone EA503 in color, Gray Flannel 511. This Anso Nylon carpet is durable, stain resistant and stylish.
